About the Tour

What can you do?
The Buffalo area 2008 Tour de Cure will take place May 31. The ride starts and finishes at Niagara County Community College. We have rides to fit anybody's taste, from six miles to 100 miles. In 2007, we had 960 riders and raised $325,000.
Tour de Cure is a series of cycling events held in more than 80 cities nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. The Tour is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether you ride 10 miles or 100 miles, you'll travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel your journey and fans to cheer you on! Find your Tour de Cure!
Since Tour de Cure's beginning in 1991, thousands of individual riders and teams have participated to support the Association's mission: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes. Now you can make a difference in the lives of the 20.8 million Americans suffering from diabetes by joining thousands of cyclists around the nation who are riding in Tour de Cure.
